C & A Transportation, Inc., a TL carrier, was first formed in June, 1989 in response to a need by a local manufacturer, Armstrong Industries.
Because of delays and high deliveries, we were asked by Armstrong to become a carrier for them instead of just an agent with freight hauling authority for other carriers. This led to the purchase of two trucks and some trailers to handle the shuttle run of Atlanta, GA to Macon, GA and return.
Due to our service and high on-time deliveries, we were asked to expand our lanes of travel. We did, and added a few more customers. By the early 1990’s we had expanded the number of trucks, trailers, freight lanes, and satisfied customers.
Our main goal here is to provide good quality service. By striving to maintain the good quality service standard, we have grown to over 40 trucks with over 100 53-102 van trailers and 23 48-102 tautliners.
Our goal is to continue to add to our list of satisfied customers by continuing to deliver the goods needed by everyone everyday in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.

We would like to welcome our new employee, Dale Lancaster, to our C & A family. He comes to us september 4, 2007 as our new dispatcher to replace Chris Riddle and look forward to having his bio on the website soon.
Chris Riddle has moved from Dispatch to become our new Safety Director after Larry Ennis moved on to a different job field.
